I always felt sorry for the people in wheelchair. Some people, old and weak, cannot get around by themselves. Others seem perfectly healthy, dressed in business suits. But whenever I saw someone in a wheelchair, I only saw a disability, not a person.
Then I fainted at Euro Disney due to low blood pressure. This was the first time I had ever fainted, and my parents said that I must rest for a while after First Aid. I agreed to take it easy but, as I stepped toward the door, I saw my dad pushing a wheelchair in my direction! Feeling the color burn my cheeks, I asked him to wheel that thing right back to where he found it.
I could not believe this was happening to me. Wheelchairs were fine for other people but not for me, as my father wheeled me out into the main street, people immediately began to treat me differently.
Little kids ran in front of me, forcing my father to stop the wheelchair suddenly. Bitterness set in as I was thrown back and forth. "St

[填空题]
Are you afraid to raise your hand in class even when you know the answer If you are, most people would say that you are shy. If you feel shy, you are not alone. Nine out of ten people are at least a little shy. But however shy you are, scientific evidence seems to show that it isn’t your fault. You may have been born that way. How do psychologists measure shyness One way is by observation. They keep detailed records of people’s actions, like how often these people speak to others or how long it takes someone to say hello to a stranger. Another way to measure shyness is to ask people questions. The test only takes about 10 minutes. It asks questions like: "Do you like going out a lot" and "Do you have many friends" People must answer either yes or no. These questions can predict how people actually behave in social situations. Suppose the test tells you that someone is shy, chances are good that person will act shyly. When scientists measure shyness

In order to tell you what I believe, I must briefly bring up something from my personal history. The turning point of my life was my decision to give up a promising career in business to study music. My parents, although sympathetic, disapproved of music as an occupation. This was understandable; I thought, in view of my family background.
My grandfather taught music for nearly forty years at Spring Hill College. Despite being greatly respected m the community, he earned barely enough to provide for his large family. My father often said that it was only because my grandfather was so economical that the wolves were kept at bay. As a consequence of this example in the family, the very mention of music as a career carried with it the idea of an uncertain existence. [单项选择]
I don’t think there is anything wrong with your blood. The key to your problem is that long nap after dinner.
If you didn’t sleep for hours during the early part of evening, you would be more ready to sleep at bedtime. If you didn’t nap after dinner, you wouldn’t want to stay up so late, and you would not feel the need to take a sleeping pill. The pill is still working in your system when you get up in the morning. This helps account for the fact that you feel tired all day.
You should get out of the habit of sleeping during the evening. Right after your evening meal, engage in some sort of physical activity--a sport such as bowling, perhaps. Or get together with friends for an evening of cards and conversation. Then go to bed at your usual time or a little earlier, and you should be able to get a good night’s rest without taking a pill.
If you can get into the habit of spending your evening this way, I am sure you will feel l
